at this point, I honestly can say I no longer give a flying rat's ass..
Support: a word most people seem to have no clue on its meaning. After YEARS of supporting the scene and so many bands, helping them out, Someone from FireWalk being at most Milwaukee shows and getting barely any respect and support back, it's done..
Right now I am on an eye for an eye trip.. I wholeheartedly thank all of our supporters, All those who come in to the shop on a regular basis and show their support, even if it's just to stop in and say hi, especially right now through this tough time(such as METAL PETE, CHRIS G, BRANDON P, THE GUYS FROM EMPYREUS, SAMER,ETC).
Hypocrite is another word so many people around here obviously don't know the meaning of or simply don't mind being one.. All of the people involved with FireWalk have been supporters of the scene for 10 years or more.. Lately my personal illness and the fact that I now live in Waukesha makes it difficult for me to get out to shows. But to be honest, it doesn't matter how many shows members of FireWalk attend, there's so many people who show no love back to FireWalk. So many people expect everyone to support them, yet give nothing back.. I have been bitched at for not going to shows by people who NEVER come in the shop, REALLY??? Give and take, you know it's a good thing PEOPLE! You know, you scratch my back, I scratch yours?? That right there is what made the scene so great back in the day. People went out to all the shows just to support and the bands acknowledged people for it and we all had a great time. No more.. I feel like that comradery is gone.. Be pissy at me all you want, I don't care.. All these people, even people who I thought were friends of mine out at shows talkin **** to people about FireWalk, People who've never stepped foot in the shop talking **** about it, people who have COME TO US for help talking **** about FireWalk, REDICULOUS!! Unless you want **** getting back to me, don't say it in a public place because FireWalk has ears and eyes all over this city..
It saddens me how many people who I thought were buddies of mine NEVER come in the shop, never even acknowledge anything FireWalk does.. I never thought it would be this way..
Fair weather friends.. So many people were all gung ho about the shop before we actually got it, but now that we're having rough times, so many people have disappeared. I have come to accept this, as much as I didn't want to admit to myself, that most people honestly just don't give a ****. We keep going though. Struggling to stay open for all those out there that are supporters and are as passionate about metal as we are..
We will slowly be able to restock. Thanks to Tony C., we just got a bunch of new and new used killer CDS in the shop and we're hoping to start getting new releases back in as soon as we can..
Those who truly support have the patience to keep with us through these tough times, even if it's just stopping in to say hi...
